The link you clicked from the previous page was to a record which has not yet been made publicly available, or perhaps you entered an invalid DESPro number on the search page.

Some records include links in their descriptive text, photograph captions and/or Defence Hierarchy to help make the relationships between defence works more apparent. Unfortunately, these links can only be totally enabled or totally disabled; the benefit of leaving them enabled with the risk that some may link to records that are not publicly available, outweighs the inconvenience caused (in my opinion!)

To develop a system that enables links according to record accessibility would take an enormous amount of time and effort, whereas typing this explanation took less than ten minutes!

The reason for only selected records being public is to protect my research. If I released the whole dataset, somebody would then do some copy and paste "research" and start writing books on the back of my hard work!
