A Book?

The natural conclusion of such an ambitious project is a book, and I'm very much in favour of publishing my work in hard copy.

However, the sheer amount of information and illustration I should like to include in it might hinder its chances of publication on account of cost and readability; it's focus would not appeal to the sort of wide-ranging audience most publishers seek to reach, and cost would be an important factor.

As I also intend to distribute my survey data online as a searchable database and in Google Earth format, it may be that any book would compliment this website (or vice versa), each having unique content and being cross-referenced.

The website would also be a useful means of keeping the book up to date with errata and other supplementary data that might come to light after publication.

We'll have to see how things pan out; I don't expect to be in a position to go into print for several years yet!
